  A gruesome discovery has been made in Abia State, Nigeria, as a decomposing body was found near the residence of Andrew Amaechi Ochekwo, the man who had been hosting two friends, Celine and Afiba, who have been missing since April 27, 2024. According to Nigerian activist Harrison Gwamnishu, the body was found with its head, hands, and legs not visible, wrapped in a curtain similar to those found in Andrew's home. Andrew had been killed while trying to escape from arrest. Gwamnishu confirmed the discovery and appealed for assistance in ascertaining whether the body belongs to either of the missing women. He assured that any information received would be kept confidential and urged the public to come forward with any useful information. The search for Celine and Afiba continues, and the authorities are working to determine the identity of the discovered body. A social media user, Dr. Ola Brown took to social media to share the update while referencing an old tweet which outlined the progress the female student has been making. He stated that despite her ordeal, she is smart and focused and would not be defined by how she was violated.

After several interventions by good samaritans the case was reported to Hon. Minister of Youth Development, Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim, said weekend that his ministry has developed new initiatives and restructured existing ones to meet the needs of youths as a result of the grave threat high unemployment rates pose to the nation. Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Mr Festus Keyamo, has said the United Arab Emirates, UAE, authorities have concluded plans to lift the travel barriers between it and Nigeria. Speaking to newsmen at the welcome dinner for delegates attending the International Air Transport Association, IATA, 80 Annual General Meeting and World Air Transport Summit in Dubai, weekend, Keyamo said issues relating to visa denial by the UAE had been resolved.
