Politicians Won’t Go To Court If Judiciary Is Fair, Upright – Goodluck Jonathan

  Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan has said that many politicians will not approach the court if the judiciary has been fair and upright in tackling election disputes. Jonathan made this statement on Tuesday in Asaba, Delta state at the inauguration of the state new High Court Complex. “My thinking is that 50 per cent of those who go to court go to court because they felt they were cheated by the electoral management system; they were rigged out. “When you feel naturally aggrieved, you have to go to court. Labour Vows To Reject Meagre Addition To ₦60,000 As Minimum Wage

 The Organised Labour has vowed to reject any lean addition to the ₦60,000 offer by the tripartite committee on the new minimum wage. The President of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Festus Osifo, stated this on Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Tuesday, hours after the Organised Labour comprising the TUC and the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) suspended its industrial action which started at 12:01 am on Monday. “At the meeting on Friday, they (the tripartite committee) said they would not add anything more to the ₦60,000 but in the meeting of yesterday (Monday), Mr President was able to commit to doing what is more than ₦60,000,” Osifo said. Dismembered Body Of Missing Girls Found Near Home Of Man They Met On Facebook

  A gruesome discovery has been made in Abia State, Nigeria, as a decomposing body was found near the residence of Andrew Amaechi Ochekwo, the man who had been hosting two friends, Celine and Afiba, who have been missing since April 27, 2024. According to Nigerian activist Harrison Gwamnishu, the body was found with its head, hands, and legs not visible, wrapped in a curtain similar to those found in Andrew's home. Andrew had been killed while trying to escape from arrest. Gwamnishu confirmed the discovery and appealed for assistance in ascertaining whether the body belongs to either of the missing women. He assured that any information received would be kept confidential and urged the public to come forward with any useful information. Unemployment: FG plans new empowerment initiatives for youths

Minister of Youth Development, Dr Jamila Bio Ibrahim, said weekend that his ministry has developed new initiatives and restructured existing ones to meet the needs of youths as a result of the grave threat high unemployment rates pose to the nation.
